Crazy problem..
Ok, My GXP is pushing 143 K but is doing remarkably well. The other day the speedometer needle started bouncing around and I could sense the tranny shifting around in the higher gears. I pulled over, shut it off, and restarted it. Problem went away. Any thoughts?

Re: Crazy problem..
Was it shifting hard? If so it is the pressure control solenoid. It is a known common culprit due to debris getting caught in it. Shutting it off and restarting it more or less depressurized it and caused it to cause that debris to unclog it (more or less).
If that's not it, it could be something as simple as the VSS, all the way up to a 2 - 3, or 3 - 4 shift solenoid

Re: Crazy problem..
No it wasn't shifting hard really. It did get a it worse since i posted my original question, as it is now (intermittently) acting like the tranny is totally out of gear. Once I get into a higher gear, and I let off of the accelerator, the speedo starts jumping aroud and as I give the engine gas the engine races like its in N. As the rpm's get up to a higher range it grabs again and goes.Sometimes I can drive and it doesn't do it at all, sometimes it's very bad.
