Dead Oil Pressure Gauge

Post by Loopy »

My 04' GXP with 122,000 miles on it just had the oil pressure gauge go. On startup all the gauges cycle then go to their usual spots. The oil pressure gauge just sits at zero. I recently had the oil changed about 100 miles ago and the oil pressure switch replaced at 120,000 miles. The car seems to be running fine except for the pressure gauge stuck at zero. There is also no visible oil leaks, knock on wood, as well. Is there an oil pressure sensor that controls the gauge and could that need replaced or is there something else going on. Clueless.

Agreed, if the gauge doesn't sweep with everything else, it's most likely the cause.

When one goes, more will follow...
