How do I get nominated for COTM?!

Post by 00Beast »

This question has come up a few times recently, and members don't feel their car is "worthy" of Car of the Month. Any car on this forum is worthy of the title, and as stated in the Notice section, here are the requirements:
SSEi95 wrote:Are you interested in having your Bonneville be the next months COTM? It's easy to get there. The Admin/Mod staff will search through recent postings every month in the Your Ride: Pics and Videos section and candidates will be posted for public voting. The winner's car will be posted on the front page of this site as well as our Facebook page. Here are some of the basic rules you must follow to be nominated as a COTM candidate:

1) Only 3800 or Northstar powered Bonneville/Grand Prix (H & W Body ), Buick ( H & C Body ) or Oldsmobile ( H,C,G & W Body ) cars are eligible.

2) A minimum of 4 pictures (640 x 480 or bigger) are required due to the format guidelines on the front page. (Be creative!)

3) Although it will not be a requirement to host the pictures in our own gallery, it is strongly recommended. Winning rides will have their pictures added to a special COTM picture archive in the gallery as well as Facebook.

4) No photoshopped pictures will be chosen, although cropping and sizing are allowed.

5) Past winners will not eligible for re-nomination for a minimum of 2 full two years after previous COTM win & significant changes must have been made to the car. Changes to qualify at discretion of site staff (This will require more than a simple wheel change & intake).

Rules and guidelines are subject to change by that staff at any time. Decisions are made solely by the staff, and staff decisions are non negotiable.

Good luck!

I created an album and uploaded pics, but it is not in the Gallery. The album exists and I can view it. How do I get it to appear in the gallery page for all to see?

Woah, look, it's a ghost!

Your question, however, I don't know.

I can see your photos in the latest updates and all appears fine. I assume you're asking why your album doesn't appear on that first gallery page? That's for all the past Car of the Month winners' galleries.

If you're trying to get into the running for COTM you'll want to post your uploaded pictures in a thread here in the your rides section. Hope that answers your question.

OK, I got it now. No, I wasn't trying for COTM, just wanted some pics for others to see.
No ghost, I'm still kicking but have not been on here for a long time. Still have the SSE though. It's got 112,000 miles on it now.
