Just registered but have been looking and reading for a few years. Anyone from the Rockford, IL to Beloit, WI. area? Quick story, was driving to my brothers place the other day and for the first time, I haven't seen any sort of modded or aftermarket bonnevilles in my area besides myself, a white 00-03 Bonneville with cleared headlights, taillights, tinted, GXP badges, and other goodies i'm sure passed me but since I was merging off the highway, I could no longer stare. I knew this person had to have read this forum to do the headlight/taillight clearing, so I think that's why I decided to finally register. Would've liked to meet up with this person or something. Anyways got my first tan 2000 SSEi from my dad with about 95k when I was 16, owned it up until last Dec. 2013 with 155k. Purchased a black 2003 SSEi Oct. 2012 with plans for mods and with only a wopping 69,900 miles! Hope it isn't too late to register as some people talk about it being slow nowadays. Have a girlfriend who drives an 5-spd 07 Chevy Cobalt SS craving for some stuff from Intense racing which is cool. Hope there will still be meets around, would like to meet some folks as I have some questions for anybody who has answers.

Welcome!!! Not familiar with anyone from that area, although the car could be SSEiMan01's old car that he traded for his G8 GXP. Not sure why anyone would have GXP badges on a non-GXP...

Yeah, he traded it in at Uftring in Washington IL, IIRC, but it's not uncommon for people to drive for cars, or who knows, maybe it's been through another owner since then...

Yeah it did look like that, it was white but I strongly remember the gxp badges. It was kinda a head scrather lol. It's hard to remember everthing now cause I was a little shocked when I did see it but the headlights and tails weren't tinted, just cleared. Also very cool Dekalb is only about 30-45 minutes away, my aunt used to live there.

That's Normal for you. Actually right behind my apartment too. I have pictures of both Bonnevilles there, and as well of the GXP. The Trans Am never made it that far.

My headlights and center tail were tinted from some time in 2011 up until I sold it, and the dealer sold it as it was with all my mods, so that probably wasn't it.
