Broke bolt removing it from thermostat housing

Post by jimbone_sdca »

Need to remove throttle body assembly and how is the throttle body coolant tube (L shaped) removed from the throttle body without damaging it? cant find info and the factory service manual barely shows it and doesn't mention it all. How do I remove tube so I can separate the throttle body from the intake manifold.?

Is it that goofy tube hidden under the throttle body (which is similar to my '89)? I've not tried to do this on that engine yet, so I could be wrong on this, but usually something like that should pull straight out with the TB. You might need to spray some rust buster/penetrating oil in and letting it soak to help loosen the O-ring seal and have to work it out.

Yeah it will pull straight out with throttle body. Also how did you manage to break that bolt?
