What's everyone's favorite oil for their LN3?

Post by nailbomb3 »

In the past I have run M1, and Valv MaxLife and like them both.

What about you guys, what do you run and why? I'm thinking trying Penz Platinum, pending a reponse from
them about the level of seal conditioners they use.

I suspect ALL of us are at high milages so who here is running Syn oil?

I use Valvoline 10w30 full synthetic, silver bottle. I actually have only 75,000 original miles so no high mileage yet. On my next change I plan to switch to ConocoPhillips/76 full synthetic 5w30.

I used to use Mobil one all of the time.... But as of the last many years it seems that Penzoil Platinum and Penzoil Ultra seems to be a superior product... Funny story is that I have also run this stuff in my highly abused lawn and garden equipment and have had 0 issues... When I ran Dino they would overheat and get pissy with restarting... Now they just start like a charm and I never see the oil turn black between changes...

I am personally sold on the Penzoil Synthetic.... Its not the best stuff out there, but for the price I think its pretty good...

The Max Life or High Mileage is ok, but it does help make the seals swell a tad as well as make them a bit more pliable to avoid leaks... If you don't have any leaks I'm not sure I would recommend it...

Trident fully synthetic 10w30 for me.
But your popular brands aren't easily available over here apart from Mobil, which is super expensive for no great gains over quality British market brands.
