Yea I'd say roughly 2 1/2 hrs? You can make it to St. Cloud from Minneapolis in right around 1 hour with no traffic.

Glad to hear it guys! I got the G8 all detailed up, now to keep it clean till Sunday!
I have a feeling people will break off around dinnertime, pretty much after lunch and going to Munsinger I'm winging it.

If we all split earlier, that just means I get home earlier! lol
Google Maps put it at 3hrs 35min from here to the address. I still plan on leaving early just so I can take my time and can deal with traffic/road construction (because it is still that season!).
I'm planning on detailing my car Saturday. Granted, the outside won't look good compared to anyone else's car and I don't know if I'll attempt the engine bay or not (Chris and Randy know how bad it is....). Since buying the car, I have yet to really detail anything on it. The seats all got a good washing when I removed them, but that's about it. I still want to remove the interior again so I can paint a few spots under the carpet. I don't know if I'll try power-washing the carpet yet this year or not. Depends on what the weather does.
So Boulder Taphouse is at 3950 2nd St S. St. Cloud, MN 56301?
(just want to clarify; not sure if that was for Old Chicago)

Good to know! I'll ignore Garmin and stick to 94 then.BonnieBoy08 wrote:Yes, that is the Boulder Taphouse address. And Old Chicago is literally next door so if they decide to change their mind you won't be lost lol. I recommend taking 94 all the way thru the cities instead of the 694 bypass. 694 has alot of construction going on right now. I too will be detailing up the car on Saturday! Its needs it's fall season top to bottom cleaning anyway. Yours might not look as good on the outside in your opinion but I bet it drives better than most of ours after all the suspension stuff you replaced!
The only drawback I have from the outside is my hood. The clear-coat is completely gone. Except for the slight floating from the quick struts, it probably does drive better. If we had judging based on undercarriage looks, I might win, but my exhaust isn't all shinny like some people's.... Although I do have the newest tires!
Even better then! I knew you'd look out for me Chris!ga93sle wrote:Don't worry, Matt, we'll take the pictures from far away lol. Here's to hoping my car doesn't sell before Sunday!!!
Come on, you know now that you actually want to keep it that it will sell before then. lol What's your plan after the GP GXP?

Probably drive the truck all winter, then get something in the spring. Amirite?
Also, 694 isn't bad, but at 10-ish on a Sunday morning, 94 through St Paul and Mpls should be fine. I agree to take that route. You'll also likely be coming in that route anyways (likely taking 52 up from Rochester?), so it seems like a good route.

Yep, HWY-52 is my best friend to the cities! I'll just cruise on through on 94 then!

That's pretty much the plan, all depending on how long it takes to sell the GXP... But that's the plan, drive the truck through the winter and find something in the spring unless I find something I really like during the winter... Replacement plans are V8 RWD sedan... I know where all your minds went, and that would be SWEET but I'm looking for a little lower payment... My replacement might not be a GM...00Beast wrote:Probably drive the truck all winter, then get something in the spring. Amirite?

Have to ask, why are you getting rid of the GP/GXP? You haven't had it that long, if I remember correctly.

Basically what Matt and Ed said... The car is as fun as a barrel of monkeys, but I'm constantly worrying about the oil... and the tranny... and all the other expensive parts on it... Plus the fact that the body is so rough (in my mind) that it just bugs the crap out of me...

I understand.
How much is your oil consumption rate?
We have fixed the 5.3 LS4 for this problem.
New pistons and rings and a revised oil pan gasket.
Problem solved, but not cheap.
Good luck.

It's been hard to clock because I'm so anal about it I just top it off as soon as it's the slightest low.

Oh come on! I was looking forward to seeing your car. Your motor is almost the same as mine except for the pistons. Would be interesting to compare notes.
