No, she loves my car, but hates that I took it and made it my toy. We have the same driveway issue. I park my truck and Bonneville in one row and let the kid park behind her. I don't get the inconvenience, the child does.

My fiancee likes my car in so far as she enjoys travelling in it, but she refuses to drive it because its left hand drive and an automatic.

Ashlee works at 6am, so if my car is behind hers, I usually have to move it so she can get out. I didn't feel like moving my Buick this morning, so I just told her to take it (Scary I know!) instead of her car.

Anyways, I wake up to a text this morning, saying "I love that your car runs better than mine, and it's comfortable, but I hate it! It's so loud (engine wise) and it sounds like a space vacuum cleaner is running when I start it! Make it quieter please! Also, why does it shift so quickly, I don't like it!"

I'm assuming she's referencing my intake making all of the noise, and the fact that my shift points are quicker/stronger thanks to my tune.

Does anyone else's wife/girlfriend hate the mods on your cars? I guess this means i either have to con her into letting me leave them, or just de-mod for the Chicago trip to please her hahahaha.

My girlfriend has always loved all my cars, from the SSEi to the GXP and now the G8. Though we do both miss the sound of the Northstar equipped with Corsas.

When it comes to buying a "new" car, no matter what it is, the wife will automatically gravitate toward it, until the next "new" car comes along, then she hates the previous one. She loved driving the Tahoe, then the GXP comes along, suddenly she hates driving the Tahoe, and I hardly get the chance to drive the GXP. As for the garage queen SSEi....she hates it.

In fact, she hates anything that takes money away from her... :helpsmilie:
2005 GXP - White Gold Pearl, no mods...yet.
2000 SSEi - Resurrection in progress. Built L67 w/L32 fuel rail, ported heads, and cam. Camaro front brake system, GXP cluster, and much more in planning.

My GF likes my truck (K1500) because it reminds her of me and says she could never see me without it. Oh, and she wishes I drove it more. (of course, I'm paying for the gas in it!) I try not to to any WOT runs from a stop in it or accelerate hard because the shift from 1-2 will chirp the tires easily and you feel every shift. She actually had to drive it for a week when the fuel pump died on her Cavalier (which I fixed) and then was happy I had 2 trucks (no Bonneville at that time). Needless to say she avoided backing up at all costs. lol

She likes the SSEi because it has a sunroof, but won't ride in it on hot days since the A/C doesn't work (really need to fix that; got a leak somewhere, compressor itself has already been replaced). She has yet to drive it though. I was going to let her when I first got it, but it had a terrible miss due to bad plugs. She might get the crap scared out of her if she ever punches it in the K1500 or SSEi. lol

She's not as big a fan of my S10 though. She's not terribly against it (knows I don't want to drive the K1500 in the salt), but doesn't like the motion when I'm shifting gears. She gets car sick easily so I try to be as smooth as possible, and she can't drive a 5spd so she's never driven it.

To Jfridge92, leave the intake alone. It only sounds like that on startup and goes away even quicker when it's hot out.

My girlfriend loves my car other than the fact that the interior rattles and the rear view mirror is always vibrating(agressive tires and mounts). headers>catless dp-res-thrush turbo, but the louded by far is the intake and SC whine. I've had people tell me that they can hear it from a few blocks away.

My wife loves the Le Sabre, doesn't care so much for the 88 Royale.
Why?; well the Buick is a 4 door so she doesn't have to reach out to close the door, and it's much easier to get in and out of in our tiny supermarket parking lots because she can open the door without worrying about hitting the car parked next to us, and she finds it more comfortable than the Olds.
The driving dynamics of them are slightly different, the Olds is fun to drive quickly, the Buick is more a comfortable cruiser.

Women, huh?, putting practicality ahead of style. Until she buys clothes or shoes.....

My girlfriend likes my 64 Pontiac Catalina and 85 Cutlass Ciera. Sometimes she even buys be gifts related to them such as new reverse lamps for the Catalina.

She drives my Bonneville anytime her car is in the shop. Even though she has a 2013 Chevy we take the Bonneville on trips. This summer we put almost 800 miles on it by vacationing in Gettysburg, PA with trips to Maryland and West Virginia. Her only concern is that the car is 20 years old with 105k miles so she worries more about it breaking down than the Chevy.

My neighbor's wife hates my car because of the sound my intake makes on a cold morning. Which to me is alarming that she would be the one to complain considering her husband at times is up at 11 PM on a work-night starting up his hot-rod Lincoln reving it up in the garage while the people on the street are trying to catch some sleep. :\

I dont think I would tolerate a significant other who would criticize my passion for cars. Then again I haven't had a chance to test that yet (<-- forever alone :sadeyz: )

My gf doesn't hate my bonnie, but doesnt love it, or even like it. She has a cute little turbo beetle, and we used to have an 04 mach 1 mustang, we then traded the mach for an avalanche, wich she likes but doesnt like to drive, too big, slow, and high. I then buy my 92 bonneville last november and just fell in love with it, even though it doesnt look nice at all, and has alot of rust. She pretty much looks at it as an old beat up car, and doesnt see my passion for her. It was hard telling her I was buying a newer supercharged version of it, thats looks alot better as a parts car for this old beat up car. She asked me "what's wrong with that one and why not just drive that instead?" I replied "I like mine better". Reality is that the ssei parts car has severe frame rot, and is just a parts car anyways. But she does respect the love I have for my old beat up car, and doesn't try to get in the way of me working on her though:)
