catalytic converter

Post by grey3800 »

Hey everyone, I have a mandatory emissions test coming up soon. Two years ago my numbers were borderline, I recall the tech recommending to idle the car a several minutes before achieving passing numbers.

So to save myself the embarrassment and do my part for the environment, I've been looking at replacement cat's online. For whatever reason the 50 state cats's are as much as 4x more than the 49 state counterparts. I don't really see a difference in actual product, there actually may be none other than the fact that 50 state p/n went through CARB certification.

Do we think a 49 state unit placed my bonne will pass just fine?
