My 2nd and 3rd Bonneville

Post by b97SSEi »

Hey Guys,

I've been a member for the last 6 years but I've been away for a while since I sold my 97 SSEi 3 years ago.

Well since then I happened to stumble across a decent 95 bonneville so I picked it up as a project. Paid $450 for it and replaced the crankshaft sensor and fixed the brakes. 169,000km on it when I bought it, not too shabby. I ended up giving this car to my sister when she was in need of a new car.

For the last few months my sister has been telling me how she'd love an SSEi like I use to have. However they're hard to come by in the same shape that mine was in. So I kept an eye out looking around for something decent to buy and fix up for her.

Low and behold the 1995 SSEi I found in Vancouver. Bought it from the original owners. They had a stack of maintenance records that I was happy with being able to look over. Mechanically the car ran and drove great and I had no concerns. Interior on the other hand was a disaster. The owners have a black lab and destroyed the rear seats and it reeked of dog.

But for $500 who can complain?

I'll post pics of the complete interior rebuild/extreme detail tomorrow after the pics have been uploaded to photobucket

All the cars look amazing. But your first Bonne in particular catches my eye. I think I remember seeing pictures of it somewhere. That red SE is awesome too. Good luck on the new project! Looks decently clean. :) Glad you decided to stay in the Bonneville world.

I agree, they all look good. The black '97 looks amazing, but the '95 SSEi is in very impressive condition too for the year.
