For what it's worth my first car was a 94 LeSabre. Hence my affection for yours. :)

Thanks! Those cost more than I originally paid for the car... Mine's a mile-er at best, as opposed to a xx-footer.

And yeah, I don't believe there is one part of that car I haven't had my hands on at some point in the last three years.

Awesome, new pics!! Your LeSabre looks very good, and super clean! I guess it would be, having more than likely spent it's whole live in California. Much different than the cars on this side of the country.
SSEiMan01 wrote:For what it's worth my first car was a 94 LeSabre. Hence my affection for yours.
As Will said. As you can see, my first car was (and still is) a '95 LeSabre. It's that reason that I believe I'm a Buick guy, and I like all things Buick, especially the 92-99's. If GM goes ahead with their ideas of bringing back the GN name, you bet I'll be getting one (would still love to get my hands on an '87 GNX). And, if for some miracle, GM were to design a Buick on the Holden VF platform (2014 Chevy SS, update from the VE which the G8 was built on), I would sell every possible organ I could to get it.

Anyway, keep that LeSabre clean and looking good!!

Yeah, it was in pretty rough shape when I bought it. The paint was faded, interior was filthy and wreaked of cigarette smoke, it had 4 different sized tires from 4 different manufacturers on it, leaking oil pressure sender, OBD 2 codes (446 & 1441), and needed a smog check.

Swapped on a fresh set of 16" 2000 Lesabre wheels wrapped in new Cooper 225/60-16's. Swapped out the oil pressure sender and rolled the cubes on the snowballs chance in hell that the bad seal on the gas cap caused the evap codes and installed a new one.

After clearing the codes took the car out and put a little over 200 miles on it just to get a feel for it and see if it would trip the codes again. No codes, smooth vibration free motoring, temp gauge stayed well under 200, oil pressure well over 40psi, a/c blows ridiculously cold, and man that little series 2 motor has some power!

Off the freeway, straight to a smog check while the cat was nice and hot, and not only did it blow the number... it hardly registered! Amazing!

I'm into the car for a hair under $2,000 with all the work I've done up to this point. With only 114,000 on the clock, this little H Body feels like its just getting started! Next project is going to be to install the F41 front and rear sway bars I picked up from the junk yard, an alignment, and then maybe some air bags out back to keep everything level ;)

Another older H-body rescued.

Looking at those pictures, one would never know it was in the bad shape that you described. I plan to upgrade the suspension on mine as well, as soon as I get it back on the road. I love seeing modded LeSabres (within reason of course), so good luck with your future plans, and keep us posted!

Cheers! I gutted the air box a couple of months ago but that's about it. I'm not really looking for more power, just a little better handling...

Great looking car!

It always amazes me how radically different Le Sabres look compared to Bonnevilles on the inside. From the inside of the car you'd never guess the two were related.

Thank you! Seriously! I've been looking at several 'Buick' message boards and none of them compare to the wealth of information that can be found here! ...and believe me, when I first happened upon the fact that the chassis' were almost identical my first response was "WTF!?"

You should try the Olds forum, there are tumbleweeds over there.

Beautiful car, I love that body style, and you have done a great job bringing it back. It got my vote!

I can only imagine and thank you! I could kick myself for not taking pictures of it when I bought it (as I have with almost every other project I have ever restored) but it was in such a state of disrepair that I couldn't wait to get started and neglected to...
