....anyway, I emailed them with photos of mine. It has 123K on it, looks super clean from the photos. They emailed back and said my car was pretty clean, but had too many miles on it (161K)....so they wouldn't trade me. But I SO would have, if it didn't need the usual suspsects mechanically. The more I think about it though, although I do like certain flavors of the '98s and '99s....I'm pretty much invested into this car that I have now, but I saw that 98 SSE and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Sigh.

While the 92-99 is my favorite gen, it probably best financially just to stick with your car for a while anyways as you know what you've done to it already.

Agreed. This is my first 2000+, I've had a '93 SE, '92 SSEi, '97 SE, and this '05 SE, in that order. I like my car, I've put a lot of money into it to get it to where it needs to be, and it's almost there...but in retrospect, I like the older style, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but they sure seemed to ride better/smoother...it seems like GM did something way different with the suspension on the 2K+ models.

Couldn't agree more on those points, and I think the older style had a bit more headroom also.
