Rolling Squeak

Post by Ronnyboy »

So I went out for lunch today, and when I was coming back I noticed a strange noise. When ever I'm braking or accelerating it doesn't make any noise. However, when I was rolling, it was squeaking louder with speed. Would it be a bearing or a brake bad or something else? I'm quite confused.

Sounds like your brake pad wear tabs are telling you that your brakes need changing soon.

+1 on the wear indicator... that's the first place to look.

Just in case anyone didn't know what we are talking about.

This is not for your model, but it will show you what to look for..

The Inner usually wears faster than the outer too, so keep in mind if it looks okay on the side facing you, you still might have an issue on the inside pad.

I took a look see, and sure enough I have to replace them.

But when I got home after looking in our schools auto shop, I noticed a quick drip of coolant and oil, and it's covering the entire right side and right wheel suspension set up :(
