The climate control system on my 2001 SSEi is blowing only out of the dash vents no matter what setting it is set on. Is this a problem with the actuators, the control unit or both? Or could it be something else besides?
Also, (if it matters) if the AC button is pressed, the blower motor doesn't come on automatically anymore. I have to manually turn the fan speed on myself. Is this related to this first issue or something separate? I'm finally going to tackle the issue since I now have the $$ to do it.
Thanks for any input and direction you can provide!!

Re: Climat Control Issue. What to replace
My actuator just recently went, that controlled the air flow. Mine was stuck on the floor. It is located on the driver side. You will find 2 of them under there one for air flow and one for temperature adjustment. It is the first one you will see. Easiest way to tell which one it is, is by turning on the car and watching for movement while someone make changes to air flow/ temperature and see which one moves after the temperature knob is changed. then it would be the other one.
I cannot remember if I experienced the same problem you are experiencing as a second issue. But I would start with changing the actuator and then disconnect the battery touch the terminals together to reset the computer than see if everything goes back to normal.
