tire size?
tire size?
i have a 97 ssei and im picking up a set of swoopies the tire size on them are 235/55/17 would the tire be to big for the car would they rub?

They shouldn't rub, but your speedometer will be slightly off. Others have run the same combination with no real issues.

Someone just made a thread about this. Sounds like it may rub on an inner fender/plastic cover, but you can just just that away. Seems that a lot of cars arent like every other car, so you make luck out and not have any rub.

thanks guys for the info hope they dont rub they have brand new tires on it but if they do oh well but a 225 should work

If they do rub bad, you can get the right tires and flip them for not much of a loss...

I would just put them on, turn the wheel to lock, check and see how close you are to things and do the same on the other side. Obviously angles will change when you go in and out of driveways, etc, But you will get a general idea.
