The interior lights on the dome and doors stay on for approximately 10 minutes when the doors are locked.
Also, they stay on while the car is has been turned on and the whole time while driving.
I replaced the RIM and still the same problem? could it be a relay? fuse?
ANy help would be appreciated.
Oh it is a 2000 Bonneville SLE. THanks guys!

Do you have the dimmer switch turned all the up and click to "on"?

Re: Interior Lights stay on
First thing to do is check for a door jamb switch showing open. If you have access to a scanner that can read them, this car uses a door module in each door that would show you which door is reading ajar in the data list. If you don't, a test you could do is to unplug the drivers door module. It is located behind the drivers door panel.
(1) RH Front Door Module (C3) (LH Similar)
(2) RH Front Door Module (C1) (LH Similar)
(3) RH Front Door Module (C2) (LH Similar)
(4) RH Front Door Module (C4) Outside Power Mirror Pigtail (LH Similar)
(5) C503 (LH) C603 (RH)
(6) RH Front Door Module (LH Similar)
(7) S500 (LH) S602 (RH)
You only need to unplug connector C1 which is a black connector with 16 terminal holes (only 8 are used)
All the other door modules report directly to it and if your lights stay off then it is probable a switch is stuck. BTW these door jamb switches are integral to the lock actuators themselves. Narrowing down which door without a scanner will be a little tougher, you would need to disconnect each door module one at a time. Much easier with scanner. Good luck.

If you don't take the time to do it right, you will make the time to do it over.

Re: Interior Lights stay on
Not necessarily these lock actuators have more than one switch built in. There is a Door jamb switch signal line and a door ajar switch signal line.
