Anyone ever have trunk issues?

Post by PronksBonne »

A rod that goes across the length of my trunk snapped, causing it to not spring open when i press the button to open the trunk.. Never realized hoe heavy it was until this broke. Ill take a better look at where the rod comes from tomorrow. It looks like the welding on the right end broke at first glance. Anyone ever have this happen to them? and is it an easy fix?

Finding a rod in the junkyard is easy. I paid $5 for one.
Getting it out of the junker and installed in your car is a bit
more difficult. Be very careful, they are dangerous when under tension.

Or if you can't find one in a JY, harofreak00 should have some. Be sure to wear thick leather gloves when you try and replace it...

I have many in stock, although I think they are worth more than $5...

"Anyone ever have trunk issues?"

I've seen some women respond negatively to being told they have "junk in the trunk"...
