Mass air flow sensor
Mass air flow sensor
I have a 2005 Bonneville Se and the service engine light keeps comming back on, it showed that I had a bad mass air flow sensor so i replaced the sensor and the air filter as well and checked for any leaks, well that worked fine for about a 100 miles and the the car started shutting off again. The code should that it was the mass air flow sensor again, I chsnged the fuel filter and reset the computer and the car ran good for about b200 miles; now the light is back on again any ideas?

Re: Mass air flow sensor
Can you please get the car scanned and tell us the code number and description of the code from here.....
http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... =51&t=8893
It will help us help you.
Also just cause the code said MAF, doesnt mean it was the MAF.

Re: Mass air flow sensor
P0102 Mass or volume air flow and Circuit low input, A new MAF was installed. This is the same code that was showing before. (This time the car is still running ok) but before, after 100 miles or so it would act like you took your foot off the gas and a little while after that it would stop running. when i let it set for about 2 or 3 min it would run fine for about 30 min the the same thing again. This stoped after I replaced the fuel filter, but the light has come back on.
