Popping sound front end

Post by robjr69 »

Has anyone had a problem with a popping sound in the front end. Mine is when you turn right or at a stand still and jerk the wheel to the right. also had like a clunking noise or like the steering colum was loose. I had taken it to the dealer at the beginning of December and had it for 8 days and said it was the intermediate shaft and the right strut, strut mount and bearing. So they replaced both front struts and the shaft and i got it back and 2 days later did the same thing. I took it back on the 27th of December and told them and a mechanic drove with me and said that it was the rack bushings and so i left it. come to find out they say bushings are good. they have had my car 2 weeks now and still says they are narrowing it down. It was in there back in 06 for popping sound when it turned left and they replaced the rack and it was fixed, but that was before i got the car. Im thinking its the same thing. Im sure glad they gave me a loaner to drive since its been so long, but who would think they would give a 50k 2011 Yukon to drive. anway has anyone had this problem cause it seems they are stumped.
Thanks
