Noise is driving me crazy!!!

Post by 99BonnevilleSE »

SO only when I make a right turn in my 99SE... I hear like a metal scraping noise. It has to be a right turn with the car going at least like 10mph. Even the slightest turn as long as I'm moving at an ok speed. Any ideas? I'm stumped! :banghead:

It could be a lot of things. First check your brakes and dust sheilds. Check for play in the hub and bearing and check all the steering and suspension components. When replacing the tire, make sure all the lugs are torqued properly.

Sounds like a brake pad is hanging up in the caliper, or the caliper slide pins are frozen up. When was the last time the brakes were done?

I would bet on the hub and bearing.

It could be broken spring in starter. I had similar problem and had brakes checked and
even right side of steering replaced. found a mechanic that said up front it was in the
starter. Noise only happened when turning rt

Replacing both of mine didn't help.
