I realize this. However, the OP isn't looking to have the fastest FWD Bonneville on earth. He's looking for a more fun daily driver that still gets good mileage and is reliable. To the OP, keep your supercharger. You can get a lot more out of it before it becomes the limiting factor, and I doubt it will ever be the limiting factor on your car.

My monte is 600lbs lighter but i also have a TQless wonder 3.4L DOHC and a T4 so it does have lag... the 3800's with a T3/t4 spool faster and already make good TQ without the turbo. a turbo will increase the midrange HP and have MUCH better power on the higher RPM's where the M90 normally falls off.01bonneSC wrote:Id never throw a bunch of HP into a FWD car, especially with these trans'.
The M90 with higher power will be harder on the trans, more low rpm TQ puts more stress on the trans. the turbo will ease into the power and be easier on the trans.
Either way if you keep the blower or go turbo you will still make a fun car with that $$ into it. gotta decide what you want for power. I perfer the power of a turbo.... But i am not going to go turbo on the bonnie (that i can forsee)

There are a lot of local GP guys who do relatively light pressure turbo setups, including on the L36. They seem to be doing well and running for several years now.
