You better at least stay long enough for the Thursday dinner.
LottavagMatt group and I will be arriving on July 19.
We should modify the venue on Wednesday to do more than just a movie......
I realize you will be working hard with no time off until Friday but hey, sneak out early and have Lisa cover for you. I'm buying the pigs.
11 for sure attendee families with 12 cars and 9 racers.

This is seriously going to be ridiculous. I am a little scared of F-bodies...when the Mustang was stock (well, almost stock...had exhaust) I ran a 14.0. It's not stock anymore. I can't wait!2000Silverbullet wrote:![]()

Now if we could just get Thomas to come with his Vette or GTP......
Oh, and I'd also prefer the coast run on Saturday.

There's only one chicken in the group and it doesn't have an engine right now, so don't be scared Matt. It won't hurt to lose to a Pontiac......much.
I predict everyone will be in the 13-16 second range....some 13-14, some 14-15, and some 15-16.
It's gonna be fun.
How many will be staying at the KOA and when will you all be checking in there?

I am afraid my budget won't let me stay overnight at KOA. Would be fun I am sure . But I need to keep a cap on the spending. Hate to speak it but maybe WCBF 12.

Is there a thread anywhere regarding any group wrench projects during WCBF? I had a thought that it sure would be nice to have a freshly charged AC system. Just a thought given the copious amount of talent & tools! No pressing need, just curious about the mechanical entertainments!

Re: WCBF11 - Oregon July 19 - 24
We have intentionally not planned any group wrenching projects due to past bad experiences.
Simple mods or maintenance jobs that take an hour or two and are mostly done by the participant using the expertise on hand is fine as long as it's done early on the non event days.
Past Meet problems occurred when some people took unfair advantage of others generousity. Most of us will give the shirts (literally) off our backs to help other members so it's easy to get carried away and sacrifice missing planned events and incurring out of pocket expenses.
Tuesday and Wednesday...and possibly Thursday have some time available BUT.......for reasonable wrenching.
No motor changes or suspension rebuilds. Tips and tricks can be learned thru discussion and simple activities.
This Meet is more of a family affair..both personal and club families.
Serious wrenching like cam changes or top end rebuilds are best done separately at mini-meets and not at a National Meet with wives or children present.
I don't think we have the proper tools for an AC recharge. That's best done at a service shop that can properly vacuum evacuate the old charge and precisely add the new one while checking or replacing critical components like the desicant and filters/pressure switches, etc...
