NAPA mid-and-top-tier struts are actually made by Monroe. Napa brand (not their bottom tier) or Monroe and you'll be fine.

Planning on adding Monroe struts in the next few months. 167k on mine AFAIK. I think they're about done.

I'm thrilled you think my car is capable of posting, but it's not THAT good. Willwren is the username, ZiLLA and SLEeper are the cars. I installed Monroe Sensatrac rear ELC struts back in 2002 or 2003. Great performers all this time.

Do all Bonnevilles have the air shocks? How can I tell if mine are working?

I have not seen an 00+ that doesn't.

The easiest way is to pop the trunk with the car running and sit in it. If it is working correctly, it should level back out, you'll hear the compressor run.

This is a rather dated topic. We'd prefer you start a new topic with your questions, and try to keep this section reserved for mechanical problems, not general questions.

I put Delco airs on the back of a '03 Montana and it rode like new. They weren't much more than the aftermarket airs...

$58 for Monroes and $94 for Delco's on Rock auto, plus some of the Delcos have the wrong fittings and don't work right, whereas the Monroe's work just fine. Had them on both my SSEi's, and absolutely no complaints.

AC Delco's are made by Monroe. They are Monroe's mid-grade monroe-matic line. Fittings may vary, but manufacturing specs are otherwise the same.
