I may be out of the Track Run...

Had some really nasty issues with the passenger tire rubbing the strut...

I was checking the passenger side coil spring/ strut / strut mount and noticed when I moved it things did not sound good at all... Looked closer and found the suspension pop...

Coil spring and strut were rubbing on the body...

Tire was rubbing the strut in 2 places, a little odd for it to change its contact point..

All of this as I needed to replace the drivers side CV Joint... :banghead:

So while I am there it'll get new Brakes too..... Yes the calipers are hanging... Don't care at this point... Oh and the point of failure was the strut mount I replaced when I installed the sensatrack struts... The inner part of the rubber isolator( has a Metal section inside ) shifted way over throwing the alignment off, as well a spacer that part of the strut mount fell out :dontknow:

So this is where I am days before SEBF...... Now the Alignment is going to be out of whack and its a week to get into my favorite shop for an alignment :sadeyz:

That's no excuse. At least my excuse has merit

Oh...while we are on the subject of epic failures...the Bonneville had one of its own. Fuel pump decides to do south DAYS before I have to fly out to OKC. Everything pointed to the pump, but the weird thing was the pump acted just fine the night before. So today, I drop the mutherphuckin' tank...and SURPRISE...the pump works :???: At this point, I start scratching my head, and so for the hellofit I tear out the pump.

Would you believe the power wire going to the pump burned itself up? I was *dang* lucky that nothing caught on fire.

the power wire going to the pump on my 2000 sle went as well... at least it was cheaper than a new pump...
