Tire choices have as much impact on this as well. I meant more in terms of steering feel, as opposed to the wheel being jerked around by the front end. With the 225 dunlops I had the last few years, I could feel every undulation or channel in the road. The new 245 Kuhmos I got last month have a marginally softer sidewall (in AutoX tire land) and feel a hair less disconnected.

This morning's rolling stab was a fail in breaking loose from 1-2. I stabbed it in 2 and it broke loose on the 2-1 downshift like a bad dog.
