I've got a 2000 SLE, and after I took my car over to an audio place to have a deck installed (which wasn't done because they didn't have the right harness), my trip reset button, select button etc no longer work. The stock deck was taken out, so I'm wondering if something got unplugged or is actually damaged.
The place specializes in car audio, and 2 weeks later, I don't have my deck in and would rather not go back there because of their poor service. I'd like to get this button problem resolved then I'll probably just install my deck myself.
Some help please?

They probably forgot to reconnect the connector. Pull off the dash bezel and check.

There are two plastic rivets going up into the fascia above the instrument cluster. Press the center of the rivets upward (pics 1 & 2) and then carefully pry the rivets out (pic 3).
Pry the trim ring off the ignition switch (pic 4) notice I put electrical tape around the screwdriver blade to avoid marring the trim. Then pull out the 'cubby hole' on the left of the wheel (pic 5). Tilt the wheel all the way down and pull the panel off the dash (pic 6).
Reach behind the right side and disconnect the connector(pic7). Carefully tweek the panel to get it around the wheel and out of the way.

Re: Select Button, Trip Reset Button etc.
Thanks a ton! Looks simple enough, now I can finally get this resolved and move on to actually getting my deck installed.
