Re: tired of engine
Might be a good time for an L67 swap? Wes did one recently and it didn't seem that bad.

Re: tired of engine
The L67 is the supercharged version of the stock engine (assuming your original engine wasn't...). It requires some additional wiring (and a tranny for the best reliability), and the proper PCM chip.
An MX6 is pretty lightweight, so if there are curves, you might be in for a problem. But in a straight line, if his is the 4 cylinder, you've probably got him pretty good. The V6 might be close.

Re: tired of engine
You would have to check with your local authorities to see if Nos is legal in your area. Ofcourse, if it was being used for street racing, that would be 100% illegal, as that is an illegal action.
Hood scoop would be strictly cosmetic. In the day the hood scoop or air grabber was used to force cold air into the air cleaner assembley(carbureted cars only). Now the only funtional set up would be Ram Air into the air box itself, like on Many Trans Am's and such. To design and build a Ram air set up on a Bonneville simply put would not be a very economical option.
There are a few members running around here with hood vents. Basically small vents (like found on a Trans AM GTA) stratigically placed at the rear portion of the hood to allow cool air to enter the front grille area and hot air to escape out the vents placed in the hood.

Re: tired of engine
DC you are really far out there on ideas I must say...we still wanted a picture of that Northstar you had in your Bonneville
A good swap is an L67. What you probably had in there as long as it's not an SSEi was a 3800 Series I. L67 can be Series I or II, depending on what you pick and what kind of wiring work you want to do. If you've truly got a Northstar already sitting in your car and working, I wouldn't be so fast to tear it out, in that car it should be decently fast as is. Why rip it out if it works?
Show us some pics and we'll help you as we stated in the past thread labeled "2nd question"

Re: tired of engine
Well we're certainly going to need some kind of pictures and more information to get you started. A stock PCM for that car could never run a Northstar, not to mention we need to know what transmission is in there currently, axles, how you got everything mounted up, what's been removed and changed, etc. Pictures can only tell. You are certainly going to need a lot to change back again.

Re: tired of engine
Id still like to see pics. A northstar, dead or not, would be a cool thing to see in a bonne. Even crappy cell phone pics will do.

What do you mean exactly when you say "it *shoot* out on me"? what is it doing, or not doing?
And please take note of Bills suggestion in your other thread regarding proper grammar. It makes it difficult to understand the point you are tryin to make, when you have one giant run-on sentance.

Re: tired of engine
The car would not even run and drive without the PCM being re-flashed, and some re-wiring being done. Not to mention the engine mounts, axles, transmissions, and more stuff would not even line up.
