Convert to center console shift?
On my 92 se, it's a column shift. I would like the shifter to be on the floor. Is there any way to convert to a center console shift?

Re: Convert to center console shift?
You could. You'd need at least:
Console shift steering column with ignition lock cable assembly
Console shift cable from shifter to transmission
Floor shift assy. with console
Entire floor shift instrument panel
Custom wiring for shift lights and rear lighter
Duct work for rear ac vents
Custom mount for floor shifter
Front bucket seats (assuming you have the split bench).
Probably other assorted items. Basically not really worth it.

Mods: Clear corners, gutted airbox, Alpine CDA-9886. Plans: 4x SensaTracs, high-flow, FM 80, 3.5 pulley, and for gods sake some good rubber.

Prolly not worth it. I already got the bucket seats. I added a center console bewtween them so there was just not an empty space.. It looks really good though. For some reason, I just hate column shifters but I will just deal with it until I can find another Bonnie.

Someone on here did it, I don't remember who, but they had a great writeup with lots of pics. Might have been on the old site. Can't remember, but it was mightily impressive. They basically had a donor car and gutted the interior of one for the other.
