Just curious if anyone has ever gone to the scales and weighed in their bonnie? specs Say 3745lbs for SSEi. Just wondering how close it is to actual.

Mine was exactly 4000lbs with me in it (205lbs) and a few things in the trunk (jumper cables, etc)

Just where would I look for scales that would weight my car?

A good place, depending on area, can be a grain elevator, a steel recycler, truck stops and weigh stations. If a Truck Stop has a sign saying CAT Scales, they'll probably charge a small fee. A place like a grain elevator or a steel recycler won't charge, normally, but go inside and let them know what you're doing before you just drive on to the scale, lol.

Hmm...mine was 3995lbs without the spare, trunk carpet and a 1/4 tank of gas. (No driver.) Seems a little heavy relative to everyone else.

Do you have an IC, etc? That all adds weight.

Its odd, I work for Intercomp, a company that makes all kinds of scales, but specializes in auto racing equipment, yet Ive never weighed any of my vehicles, including my race bike.

Re: Anyone weighed their 00+ Bonnie?
Thanks for the replies on where to get weighing done. I had mulled over choices and not called a month ago.
So the grain elevator hit home. I grew up on a farm around grain elevators and didn't think about their scales along with that they are becoming scarce around the Dayton area. I checked the Yellow Pages on Yahoo and found one a few miles away in a small town that had lost almost all its business except for antique stores and found there's a grain elevator.
Cobalt weight 2920 lbs. No indication of error for that weight. My son had used an experiment (Newton's Law) and found the mass of it in AP Physics a few weeks ago so I was curious how close his group's answer was. They were off about 300 lbs. but they used a cheapie bathroom scale (high error) to measure the forces.
