Front/Passenger Seat Removal - Torx Bit Size?
I'm pulling my front/passenger seat to try fix an airbag problem. Anyone know what size of Torx bit is needed for the seat belt rail thing?

T45 will work, but it's really loose. Still was enough to do the job on my car.
It's a very good idea to first disconnect the battery completely, wait 10 minutes for the system to discharge, then yank the airbag fuse underneath the dashboard after 10 minutes. This bleeds all the residual power from the system so the bags won't deploy in your face as you unhook something.
Since you're after the module underneath the passenger seat, make sure you stop the leak that killed your current module first, and then put in your new module. Also, clean the mounting points and the ground wire you'll find.
If the carpet is wet on one side, you'll have to take out the driver's seat and the under-carpet padding from the entire car to let it dry. 5-6 hours in the sun should have the padding dry again.
And if you ever dreamed of Dynamat, might want to do it now when everything is out...

Thanks. I don't know that I have a leak at all, not even sure if the module is dead. I get "AIRBAG PROBLEM" scrolling on the driver info screen. The problem has come and gone a few times so just want to check for loose connections or corrosion at this point.

My airbag light flickered a bunch of times over a few weeks before finally staying on. Turned out the module was corroded to junk from water damage.
If you have a leak, you'll know it from the corrosion on the module, and a musty smell/wet carpet padding when you get it up to get at the module.

Where does the water usually get in that causes damage to the module?

Door seals are a big culprit. Search for other people's problems with leaks.
In my case there was a 1/2" wide by 3" long rust hole in the passenger rear wheel well that flooded the back seat.
Also, underneath the car are some openings that are nearly rusted off on my car. Might want to check those too.
