Possible SE late spring meet (scratch that)

Post by sandrock »

Well, SEBF happens the last week of October, and each year a few more members crop up. It's gotten to the point now we have enough local members (and I use the term "local" loosely) that perhaps a twice-a-year get together could happen.

While the fall meets are great, it has always been lacking a track run, due to events at Orlando Speed World that coincide with ours. But summer track runs are pretty much available. Then there's the beach. While I don't wish to take away from the aura of the fall event, I think having a second meet, late spring or early summer, might allow members who can't make the fall one a chance to come hang out with the southern crew.

Thoughts?

Still about 2 months or so away from getting my Bonneville :sad5: . Depending on the timing I would love to make my first BF. If not this spring/summer I will be looking forward to the October meet.

I could possibly make this one too, would certainly be interested in finding out more. Due to the distance I might only be able to do one or the other but we'll have to see!

I haven't. This is his final semester, so I imagine he's busy as hell. I did hear he got his car running again though

I doubt an official meet is gonna happen now, due to my current health situation and summarily having to take time out of work.

I'd be down for meeting. Need to get to Gainesville to see the grandparents, and "should" replace my LIM gaskets sometime during my break in May. 10 years on Dex is long enough.

Well, whenever it is, I should be able to make time!

Only variable is which car to take. The LeSabre if at all possible of course.

Well, there are at least three people who'd be down for a meet!

Next questions: Where? And when?

As of now, it's not going to happen. Since my *ahem* accident, is taking more days out of work than I originally thought, I won't have the time off needed to do this meet (as I work weekends). Sorry fellas
