Does this year have a egr valve and where would it be. Well i really am at my wits end. Anyone out there have a different perspective.

Re: loss of power and backfiring??
If the upper intake manifold is tan metal instead of black plastic, you don't have an EGR.
Have you tested the fuel pressure? At idle, at idle with the vacuum line pulled off the fuel pressure regulator, and after you turn the key off, does the pressure bleed down after a few minutes?
Have you tried a known good ignition control module?

Re: loss of power and backfiring??
Have you checked the CAT to see if it's clogged / bad?
Re: loss of power and backfiring??
Hi there sorry for the delay in response. As for the first question. I haven't checked the fuel pressure bleed down i will check that first. And for the second. tha cat has been cut out awhile ago so that's ruled out. i'm wondering if it could be either the cam sensor or the crank sensor???. What do you think...
thanks Dan.i

Re: loss of power and backfiring??
O.k. i took another stab at this problem today with another angle. I went to princess auto and bought a set of spark plug wire testers and started checking out each wire. i came across one wire that would lite up when started and then when it would die out after a bit. it ended up being the 2-4 coil. it runs awesome now. Thanks guys for the help.
