Engine looks better, and the car looks awesome!

Did you put that hood insulator in?

Goodness, I really hope you're not DONE. :pooper:

Good start though, for sure.

Car looks pretty *dang* outstanding though...only thing i'm not feeling are the yellow fogs, but hey, what works, works.

Well, I am done for now..
To clean the other stuff means dissembling the motor.
Worried that I'll warp the Valve Covers if I take them off.

I put yellow fogs in because the white ones didn't work worth *shoot* in the fog.

Any driveability problems after you were done? I'd like to clean my engine bay but I just know something will quit working after I do.

Did you only do the UIM and front valve cover? It looks like there is dust and grime all over the place still (no offense). What about the coil packs, firewall, etc....

Go to the car wash and use the pressure washer.

I didn't do everything... The front valve cover still has dirt in the cracks.
It looks way better then it did before..

Ragsdale, there's no risk of warping fiberglass valve covers, and there's no need to disassemble anything to thoroughly clean it.

No fear of water, either. Not even a pressure washer. If your ignition system is in good condition, the worst you'll get is a slight misfire when wet. And most of us don't even get that.

Use a couple more cans of engine degreaser, particularly on the rear valve cover, and use a brush where you need to. Or use a pressure washer after the first can of degreaser, warm it up, and use the second can, then pressure wash again. You'll be amazed at the results. It looks a TON better already, but don't fear getting aggressive with it to finish up.

x2. as long as you keep the pressure washer not on the "needle" setting, you can spray everything (minus maybe the alternator) directly.

Even the alternator is safe. One of my hood vents is located directly above my alternator, and the car is typically out in the elements all winter long with the hood vents uncovered most of the time.

The air filter is the only component I cover (CAI/FWI applications......stock airbox is already protected).

If you do get any stalling problems after you get your ignition wet, its just time to apply some dielectric grease to the coil posts.

Well, I do have problems now though, after I cleaned it. =/
There's three videos in the 1992-1999 area.

I used a tooth brush to clean the stuff loll :)
