So this is my Fiance's '99 Bonneville SE. Currently has 146,000 on it, full tune up, replaced the driver side wheel hub (Going to change out the other 3) and its blood is Amsoil!

Eventually I would like to make this into a Sleeper, but for now I'll settle for little upgrades. Stiffer suspension for one. Its actually pretty quick off the line as is with the 3.05 gear ratio, I was surprised to find this cars moves pretty well!

Here are a few pictures of its progress since I got ahold of it and started giving it the Maintenance it needed. So far, I have done all the maintenance to this car since my Fiance' and I started dating. Replaced the MAF, Waterpump, Rad Hoses, New tires and reconstructed the front end and pulled back the rad support after she rear-ended a Mercedes on the freeway.

This is from when I took care of rust on the lower part of the fender. The only other rust on the car is the typical rockers not being intact anymore. I will be order new stampings from MillSupply and weld them in.

These are the Weathertech light tint Wind Deflectors. These actually do a really good job on keeping water out and stopping the whistling from having the window cracked open. The best part is there is no adhesive tape to hold them in place, they just rely on Tension to hold them it.

Also, not to mention this past weekend we took it up to Philips, WI for a 700mi round-trip driving spree.

Got a little muddy (Got it stuck in a mud hole, but got it out under its own power!)

wow love that you took care of the rust so thoroughly on the fenders!! Making me wish I had taken the time to do a nicer job when I did mine. I had a white 99 SE, I think that is a sharp color for the 96-99 SE body :)

I really never liked White vehicles, mainly cause they are a PITA to keep clean and they show every flaw (Which this car has a lot of) but I will say it has grown on me. I like the Silver these came in too. At least the Bonnevilles for the most part look good, looks like its moving when it sitting still.

I want to get a set of 16" 5-slot wheels for this and get them nickel plated, then stick a set of some real sticky performance tires on them for the summer, then get a pair of Blizerks for the Winter on the other set.

I might go with the darker ones. They cost around $100 right?

Hey looks like I have another white twin! I've never been a fan of white either but its hard to pass it up when its super clean (how we got ours).

Nice to see some more people from Wisconsin on here as well. I'm just down in Racine.

I think I have said it to you before, But that is an odd SE... For a 1SB it sure has some options like keyless.. It was an option on a 1SB car and most 1SB's never got it..

I really do dig that white tho.. A clay bar and good polish will leave that car looking silverish when the sun goes down.. iirc that white on her car actually has a tinge of blue in it... Either way I like it..

I wish I knew more about these cars, options wise. I need to do a lot of reading to get up to speed on these now.

Clay, thats cool. I go out to Sturtevant Salvage from time to time and try to get nice stuff for the Bonne. They have a complete SSEI out there (Motor still intact) Dunno if there is anything wrong with it. Usually they pull the popular lesser available engines, but maybe this one spun a bearing or has rod knock. Not sure.

Update!

Over the weekend, I installed 55w 4500k HIDs with full wiring harness, relay and fuse. Really like these as always. This would be the second set I bought from DDM tuning. The other set is in my Landcruiser. Also installed a mint Genuine Headlight and Marker, as the other one TYC brand started to get moister in it. Both are Guide front now.

Do you know what color? I might have to go take a look. I was out there last summer and they had a green (or maybe it was black) but it was pretty rough all around.

I think this one was some type of dark Blue with a tank/brown interior. Body is pretty fair from what I remember.
