Had some nice weather earlier this week and I decided to take advantage of it and do a quick all in one polish on the SSEi and then also my truck. I used my Griots 6" polisher, HD Speed, and Lake Country 5.5" pads.

Looked like this before (pics were a couple weeks ago but looked the same)

After washing, headlight restoration, and polished up with HD Speed

Also did some playing with the truck, no full pics though but wanted to show just how awesome Speed is

Many deeper swirls etc left on the truck but all I wanted was some gloss on the paint, not perfection and this only took about an hour to do the whole truck!

I haven't read up on he polishes in a while. Looks like it did a nice job with the car but the truck definately would need a lot more cut if you wanted correction.

I washed the garage dust off the Bonneville yesterday. Can't wait to do a quick polish and get some new wax on there.

I absolutely was not going for perfection on the truck, there was some mention of it under the last pic but I was super tired and didn't go much into it... the truck is just a beater, has older 200,000 miles and I use it for hauling wood, hauling cars, home improvement stuff, winter driving etc. The rocker panels are rotted, fenders are fried, cab corners rotted. Looks like it was washed with mud and a scotch brite pad all its life, all I was looking for was some gloss back in the paint and remove light imperfections. HD Speed knocked it out of the park for what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier for how much time I spent on it with the results I got. Speed is an all in one, a light polish combined with a sealant so it gets everything done in one step vs polishing then waxing or sealing. It is great for maintenance details or like the truck just looking for some extra gloss in the paint.

The paint before had the gloss and reflection of a sheet of construction paper, now it actually has some good shine to it.

Did you do it by hand or with a polisher?

No, I knew you weren't going for perfection, I was just saying it clearly doesn't have a ton of cut. That's not what its for, I understand. I just wanted to have something to say. Lol.

I didn't realise its a sealant as well. I think that's probably where a lot.of shine is coming from on the truck. It looks a ton better though, so who cares how it did it.

Must have a polisher as well, you will not get these results by hand.

Got my products in the wishlist. Now I just need payday to come around so I can get some of the stuff!

(Spent too much money today on other goodies for the Bonneville.)
