Long story short my dad's ex wife wanted me to find her a Bonneville that my dad and I could do some work on and be a good car for her. I found these for her for $1,900 for the pair one local and one about two hours away. She will get the black 2002 SSEi when it is all done and my dad and I get the rest of the 2000 SSEi to do whatever with. Not quite a steal, but a good enough deal that we will make money of parting and scrapping the 2000 out after she gets the 2002 :) We will also end up with her '95 PAU with less then 100,000 miles on it. It was a great running and driving car then it was in a minor accident and my dad put on some LeSabre parts for now to get her by. That car will either be fixed and sold or driven or parted out.. who knows :lol: Either way we will make out good on the deal.

The 2002 (Black) needs a dash harness (ribbon cable looks to be gone / cut for aftermarket stereo), shocks, struts, tires (she is keeping the 16" GP wheels) and overall a good cleaning. It runs and drives, but the engine smokes a lot so if it isn't something that can be a simple fix it will get swapped with the engine from the 2000 SSEi.

The 2000 (Blue) was a running / driving car but the guys I got it from bought it for the transmission for another job, we got the whole car minus the transmission. Engine looks way too clean compared to the rest of the car to be original. Underside is rotted and beat to hell so this car will get parted out then scrapped.

It will likely be till around Christmas before the 2002 is done and ready to go, but pics will be posted of the progress along the way.

It will be a very nice car again when all said and done!

For those that don't know, the 2002 SSEi came from her ^ :)

Well, the weather took a turn for the worse shortly after we snagged these up, but now it is getting better outside and work is getting done! Swapped engines and should be ready to run today, still have to get the rest of the car all cleaned up and then it will be gone. The '00 SSEi is still around, being parted out, and will be stripped down and scrapped soon. Pics will be up maybe tonight.

Wouldn't really be any huge deal, I would give you first dibs on most anything anyways, I just do it as a hobby and to make a little extra cash, you do it for a living, I don't like to step on other peoples feet or take money out of someones hands that has helped me so much anyway :beerchug:

We would have a lot of fun with projects though, I am sure there would be a lot of helping each other, and out wives would probably want to kill us for never leaving the garage :btruestory:



When the green '02 SLE comes back from paint I will have SIX Bonnevilles in my driveway!

Finally got a chance to snap some pics of where these sit today.

The '02 SSEi
Engine swap is done, need to fix / swap the dash harness or install an aftermarket stereo, polish the paint, restore headlights, detail interior and it is ready to go.

The '00 SSEi
Engine was pulled to swap into the '02 SSEi, slowly being parted out as time goes by, soon to be stripped and hauled in for scrap.

Might as well throw the '00 SLE in here that was purchased for parts for the '02 SLE we bought to fix up. Lots of parts sold off this one so far, much more to go though, this will also very soon be stripped and hauled for scrap.

I do have a good condenser here, wouldn't really want to ship it though since it would be easy to damage.

Update on the parts cars.

Drained the gas tanks on them and filled up my truck, easily $80 in gas there. Stripped the SSEi down to a bare shell and loaded up other metal I had laying around, hauled that in for scrap, loaded up the SLE, that had the interior still, but completely stripped the exterior, ended up getting $612 out of the two shells and other random stuff. Not bad at all!
