British Columbia has two denominations for new Drivers
N= Novice. Resticted, but you can drive on your own.
L= Learners. Must be accompianed by someone with a non-restricted License.
Here in Alberta, we don't have that, just a Graduated License program, which I never had to do, it came in a few years after i started driving.
