First, gotta get ‘er in the air:

I painted the calipers several years ago using a hi-temp spray bomb. They were looking pretty shabby:

Used a brush-on caliper paint kit this time. The kit comes with some brake cleaner, pigment, hardner, and a brush. The brush in the kit is just a cheap acid brush and, while it’s adequate, I recommend going to a hobby store and getting a larger better brush. Or do what I did and throw a chic-flick in the blu-ray player. When your wife gets into it deep, sneak into her craft room and steal one of her craft brushes. I was pretty impressed with the outcome and actually like it better than the spray. I put 2 coats on each caliper, and I think there was enough paint to put 4 coats on:

Red looks really good on calipers, especially with a black car. I went with blue again because everyone does red and I also wanted a little more subtle look. Red slaps you in the face and says look at me; blue winks at you and says hey, I’m down here. Rear caliper:

I'll try to remember to snap some bright sunlight pictures - they stand out a little more in the bright sun.
