WCBF10 Mon July 19 - The Beginning

Post by 2000Silverbullet »

Was up yesterday at the crack of dawn to catch two Ferries to Vancouver BC. Perfect forecast and plenty of sun with low 70F temps.
Waited with no A/C in 100F interior heat for three hours at the Blain US Border crossing. Dogs sniffed out the Bird but didn't bite.
Had a great drive into Washington. Squirting past traffic in Seattle holding 3000 rpm most of the way. No need to use the brakes, just let off the loud pedal and it slows quickly for the black n whites.
Bird odometer zeroed back to brand new. :hail:

Killed a case of Silver Bullet last night with Laura to celebrate 32 years of driving the Bird. :beerchug:

Up early again this morning. Lost the sun but no rain in the forecast.

Planning to leave as soon as my better half gets out of the tub.
Will meet up with Matt and Jordan for a convoy from Portland to Corvallis after Noon today. Matt promised not to leave me & Jordan so far back as to not be able to see us in his rear view mirror. :bstooges:

Oregon here we come!!!   :bpylons:

After I erroneously texted the wrong Matt (Oompa) all morning we finally met up with Matt and his three girls at PudFu kkers and I had a delicious Elk burger.
Matt's girls have blossomed into some real dolls. :hail:
Jordan showed up in his Z28......nice car, I didn't realize it had a cam, is dyno tuned and a six speed. :eek2: Sounds great!

I think we will hold off on Jordans headers and valve springs. He won't need them! [-X

Somehow the two hour drive to Corvallis only took an hour. I was playing tag with Matt but traffic kept Jordan well behind.......of course it's a Chevy! Actually he had to stop for fuel. LOL

Got to Bills by 3 PM and he has his fridge ready with some cold ones for us. :beerchug:

Ate my yearly Baconator for dinner and retired early for the night.
