looking for info on how reliable they are, common problems, what to look for when inspecting, and if superchargers should be avoided for mechanical, as well as insurance premium purposes?

Which model would you reccomend and why? I love bonnevilles, and the
How reliable the 3.9 on the G6 [ i think] is as well as the 5.3 V8, as well as 3.5 V6

2000 model year plus only, seen milage vary from 100k to 60k, and prices vary from 4k to 6k as high as 13k for low mileage 2008 models

love the Bonneville but i cant find someone to repair the strut damage on mine and doubt i can sell it as is and get any money for it other than juink price which is 200$, though may not be safe for me to drivei only use it to drive 5 miles to work a day so im ok with that risk right now, but looking for new cars right now while i can and not under the gun to buy

Some of my finds
-2000 GTP 121k miles asking 4k$
2006 Pontiac G6 3.5L V6 106.000 miles - $4500
and a really nice
-2008 Pontiac GXP $6,400 with 65k miles

Is there a specific reason you are limiting yourself to Pontiacs?

I know a guy with a really clean, well maintained 2004 gtp. And it's in your price range too!
The Grand Prixes are a good solid platform, much like the bonneville. The gxp however has a cramped engine bay so this could be a downer if you do your own work.

As for the G6, lower control arms are known to wear out fast, and I had a friend that had a wheel lock up due to a failing abs module. Otherwise they are pretty good cars.

I haven't had a GTO that long, but the build quality seems way above that of the other options. LS engine too and those last forever. I will say though (not to knock your driving skills) you really need expierience if you aren't used to something fast. Mine scares the crap out of me still.
