Yesterday I thought Hagerty might allow me to claim it as a "classic" especially since I would not drive it much to keep the miles down but "it isn't on the list" (2000 SSEI).
If it had been on the list it would have been in the $300 range a year.
On top of not being on "the list" your other daily drivers have to be 5 years old or newer which I have never fallen under or been asked for in the past by Hagerty and regardless of book value, something "this new" has to be insured for "at least 15 grand" (I had no problem with this but WOW on the other requirements).
I said to the lady that IMHO they are hurting themselves at least on the 5 years or newer requirement as the news will tell them people are keeping and running older cars to try and make ends meet but I just got a "Yeh?".
Anyone know any other good options? Would hate to have to sell my car I just got
