Post subject:  cooling system capacity

Can anyone tell me what the cooling system capacity for my 1996 Bonneville SE is? Also, what is the antifreeze to water ratio? Any help would be appreciated!

50/50 mix is typically the norm for cars, best of both worlds. Capacity should be in the owners manual in fluid capacities. 13qts is the cooling system capacity.

Depending on where you live, you may want to use a slightly higher ratio. I usually add a half gallon of pure anti-freeze, then mix from there with that jug.

Isn't a 50/50 mix good to -30*?

Probably. In MN it can get lower than that....

All right thought so, but you're right about your MN winters. :offtopic: Ok now back on topic, thanks for the insight.
