Today is my birthday and im giving myself a present, a night in the garage changing my trans pan gasket and filter and putting new fluid in! On my 87 Bonnie LE

You have a 4 wire plug for the 87 440T4 iirc... I believe that its not too hard to update to the 5 wire... I think the 4 wire used 2 switches for the ECM and that would be 3rd and 4th so that the ECM could apply the TCC, the last was for the TCC solenoid... So you maybe able to use a newer 440T4 88-89 ( 90-91) 4T60....

If you are really looking we could look at the wiring schematics and see whats what...
