projector headlights!!!

Post by phoenix_flame220 »

I found an Infiniti J30 at the wreckers and noticed the projectors in the headlights, so I had an idea.. Took me about 4 hours including screwing around and clean up. did this beacuse I want HIDs in the near future without blinding traffic. What do you think?

Looks good, might want to tint the chrome in the headlight reflectors since there not being used, might blend in with the car better. Nice project though!

Dude, please move all that stuff off of your Year and trim and move it to your sig. You can do that in the User Control Panel, top right of the screen, makes it much easier to read for everyone. Thanks.

It looks to me, like he removed the front glass, & he replaced it with the GTS plastic covers, but transparent one instead of the smoke.
& I would recomend him not to loose the original glass, because those will crack or fall in less than a year.

I fixed my signature. I had no idea that the formatting was changed.

I removed the original glass, and completely disassembled the infiniti light. I separated the projectors from eachother and cut off all the tabs and bracketry that I didnt need. Those are GTS covers. I had them on for a couple years and theyve been fine. I plan to make fiberglass inserts that will fill in the lights around the projectors and I will paint it black so it will have a JDM style to it. I have 2 sets of original glass. Also I am going to make clear lenses out of casting resin and attach them using the original clips and a rubber gasket, that way I can swap the original glass back in for the winter. I will leave the clear gts covers on because they will protect the lenses.
