yesterday, i looked at and drove a 93 buick park avenue. It has 177k, with all the options. Leather, windows, locks, dual zone ECC, dual power front seats, which all work. It was very dirty, but that's easy to remedy. Its back tires are pretty worn, but the front ones are decent, maybe a little more than 50% worn. It also has warped rotors. The dynaride suspension still works, and it runs and drives smoothly.
The guy said the car is from Kansas, so there's no underbody rust. He said he bought it at a police auction, it was an abandoned vehicle, and he put in a new alternator (i believe him, the voltage was reading at about 14 when i drove it)
he was asking $1200, and i offered him $1000 which he accepted. Does that sound fair? btw, i looked it up on kbb, and it said it's about $1300 in "fair condition", and $1650 in "good". I think with a little work, i could put it in "good" condition.
