Hi, eh! :canada:

I'm an engineer living in Canada and working in the US.

I've had my Bonnie for a couple of years now. We started off on the wrong foot (spun bearing on the first drive after picking her up) but 2 engines (3 transmission mounts, 2 driver's side wheel bearings, 1 plugged catalytic, & 1 cracked intake) later and I have a leaking sunroof! #-o

I've wanted a black Bonneville since I was a kid and my neighbour had a sweet '87ish with the black wheels. I do love all of the features in it, and love that it's a large, solid car. Also, I love the way it looks, and always have.

Thanks for the link. That's pretty much everything I came here for.

I've got the leaky sunroof that doesn't park in the right spot (didn't sit flush, since I got it but just noticed a wet floor, recently).

The paint just started to bubble under the gas door. I had noticed it on other cars, but thought "it can't happen to me." It did :ballkick: I had been meaning to drill a small hole to let the water drain, too but never got around to it. Now I see that's recommended. That's what I get for being lazy. :banghead:

I already had the headlights refinished, because they were hazy and yellowing. They're getting that way again, which is a bummer.

My fuel gauge is on the fritz, and I know that's not uncommon for GM cars of this era. I might get around to fixing that one. I knew the part was expensive, but I was hoping there was a cheaper alternative, and my mechanic thought there might be.

I already replaced the rear air ride shocks. What a difference!

Already replaced the oil pressure gauge. The gauge was pinned when I bought it.

And as I mentioned on the OP, the transmission mount is due for replacement...again!

Also, my Temp. Gauge just does what it wants. Normally, it just rests on the bezel to the left. Sometimes if comes to life, then goes off the scale to the right. Not a major concern of mine, at this point.

oh ya, a fellow Canadian engineer eh?! :canada: What area of engineering and what part of Canada are you from? I'm in the power transmission/distribution sector.

For your headlights, check this out: general-chat/topic37117.html

For your transmission mount, go hockey puck (lots of resources around here for that!)
