Lets set it to 950 pixels for the max size.

Find me someone that does not run at minimum a 1024 pixel wide browser..... Most run 1280 width or more.

1920 + another 1024 Crt.. so yeah.

i dont see the point in that honestly... since it still loads the full image on initial page view, its not any better for low bandwidth connections. If it's going to take that long to load i'd rather see the whole thing.
