Post subject:  Vac Tree on Supercharger

So today I replaced my supercharger with another. The original one that came with the car, its in good shape, nice and quiet. After replacing it, I started the car and now it doesn't idle well, its hunting. I found the tree on the top of the supercharger (one with the brake booster line connected) to be leaking quite good. I took it off, its missing the o-ring. I looked at my old one, it has no o ring either, infact that one I siliconed one. So I thought, hey I did it once, it worked, I will do it again. No difference, still leaks. I might have an extra at home, I'm not sure...I haven't called GM yet, but does anyone know if silicon is a bad idea here? Should I try to locate an o-ring?

I found my problem yesterday. The EGR stove pipe was damaged were it makes the connection to the LIM, making a massive vacuum leak. Part will be here from GM today so I can replace it. I also ordered that Vacuum tree and seal on the top, seal for the vac tree on the side of the SC (96-97 special), and all OEM vacuum lines under the hood. These were cheap as heck, and will be here next week.
