you may try removing the negative terminal from battery for 1 min and see if its normal when reconnected

Thank you for your response. But I’m just curious why would this cause any ideas? I will try tonight.

sorry, no. But it happened to me on my 2000, but went away.
since it started after a new battery, that would be a good starting point.

I never use the acc. pos. terminal under hood - I go directly to the battery

So how long if you had to say, did it go away after you did that, by disconnecting/reconnecting the terminal? I did so today and still no change in this at all. DIC is now telling me OIL level is low, however I'm currently at 40% remaining according to DLC and I even confirmed underneath the hood that Im not low. I'm stumped on this and a bit frustrated, over something that happened after replacing a battery

the 40 % is your oil life for change interval, so, you have 40 % of the time .remaining till next change . you can reset it after your next oil change.

the oil level low is a sensor in the case - they are not related. I had a oil level low also, went away after oil change.

the dash light show is only the security light now, but the trac/brake came and went for about 1.5 years -

our cars have weird little electrical annoyances. do you get the 'service stability system' yet?

did you use a proper good battery?

I had my weird "no crank" issues that turned out to be the ignition switch. After I replaced it, the "no crank" issue went away, but a few days later the "anti-lock/trac off" issues started. It comes and goes.

1.5 years, I would go insane. I hate those "dummy lights".

I will disconnect it and let it sit for a few days as I have another Bonneville that is problem free right now :)

I used an Interstate Battery, didn't go cheap or no name brands.
