went out to start it today and nothing, all the lights come on, bells, etc, new battery, new cables, ground cleaned and secure. Nothing, pulled the starter, checked it out with jumper cables, bendix pops out and spins fine, took it to be tested to be sure, passed no problem, I heard it could be the ignition switch or the neutral safety switch, I cannot find it, some say it is in the engine compartment, some say it is in the center console, I can't locate it, the security light comes on and goes off with all the other dash lights. I don't know what to do, please help!

I tested the switched wire on the solenoid while trying to crank it, there was no power to it, so I said the hell with it and ran a heavy gauge wire from the switched pole of the solenoid up to the positive side of the battery terminal, turned the ignition to on, then touched the wire to the positive and it fired right up. Finding out that there is a ignition switch somewhere down the steering column, I need to spend some time finding it and replace it, works for now!

The ignition switch is in the dash, and there is a TSB regarding intermittent no starts due to a defective switch. Replacement with the redesigned switch is the listed solution.
